Natural materials in a nursery

Woven willow ages differently from plastic. It darkens slightly, softens at the handles, and looks better at five years old than at one — which matters in a room that is going to be redecorated as the child grows. Plain willow baskets survive the transition from nursery to bedroom to teenager's room; brightly printed plastic does not.

The bear detail is the concession to the nursery. Everything else about these will still work in a hallway in fifteen years.
