Shipping policy

In-stock items

Most in-stock items ship within 2 business days by FedEx or UPS. Delivery within the 48 contiguous states usually takes 2 to 5 business days after that. We'll email you a tracking number as soon as your order ships. Oversized items may travel with a freight carrier.

Shipping cost

Shipping to U.S. addresses is a flat $25 per order, shown at checkout. For Alaska or Hawaii, please email us for an exact shipping quote before you order.

Backorders

If an item is on backorder, we'll ship it as soon as it's available. Lead times vary, so email us if you'd like an estimate.

Made-to-order and custom models

Made-to-order models are built by hand after you order. Building usually takes 3 to 6 months. A 36-inch HMS Victory, for example, takes about 200 hours of work. Delivery after that typically takes 30 to 120 days. Custom models can take longer.

Packaging

Every model is packed in its own carton, and many are also fixed inside a wooden frame for extra protection.
Most models arrive fully assembled.
Simple sailboats ship with the masts folded down. Instructions in the box show how to raise them.
