Why wall-mount

Shelf space is the real constraint on collecting. A model on a bracket occupies wall that was doing nothing, sits at eye level rather than looking down at you, and is considerably harder to knock over.

It also changes how a piece reads. A model ship on a shelf is an ornament among other ornaments; the same ship on a wall, lit from the side, is closer to how a museum would show it.

Check the weight of your model and the fixing type for your wall before mounting — plasterboard needs proper anchors for anything substantial.
