Historical note

Designed at Brno in the mid-1920s, the ZB-26 was one of the most influential light machine guns ever made. It fed from a top-mounted magazine, had a quick-change barrel to prevent overheating, and was accurate and reliable enough that it was exported to some two dozen countries.

Britain licensed the design in the 1930s, adapted it to the .303 cartridge, and named the result from the two cities involved — Brno and Enfield. The Bren gun served the British Army for over fifty years.

We list this as a historical model. It suits a collection or study rather than a general decorative setting.
