The spacecraft

Michael Collins flew Columbia alone in lunar orbit while Armstrong and Aldrin were on the surface. For 48 minutes of each two-hour orbit he passed behind the Moon with no radio contact with anyone — the most isolated any human being has ever been.

The command module is the only part of the 363-foot Saturn V stack that came home. It is now in the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum, its heat shield still scorched from re-entry.
