San Felipe Model — Limited Edition Downwind Full Sails, 100 Units | Admiral Line

The Spanish three-decker running before the wind, every sail set and drawing.

A downwind rig is roughly twice the sailmaking and rigging work of a standard model. On a three-decker that already carries a full suite of carved and gilded ornament, it is the most labour-intensive configuration we produce.

Limited to 100 units

One hundred were built. Each carries a serial number etched into the hull recording its build date, materials and workshop. The edition closes when the last one ships.

Construction

• Plank-on-frame hull in western red cedar, rosewood and mahogany, painted red and gold
• Three gun decks with cast cannon
• Full downwind sail set in hand-stitched linen, every yard hung
• Complete hand-knotted standing and running rigging
• Gilded stern gallery, quarter galleries, lanterns and beakhead
• Solid wood base and engraved brass nameplate
